DISTRIBUTED ENERGY RESOURCES (DER)
Adding distributed energy resources (DER) such as solar or wind to your home or business is one way to reduce your carbon footprint. Marshall Municipal Utilities (MMU) has adopted rules, regulations and processes for interconnecting and maintaining DERs, which are based on MN State Statutes and Rules, and MMU power purchase contract requirements.
Customers considering the installation of any Distributed Energy Resource shall review and complete required documents before beginning installation.
Please review the MMU Distributed Generation Interconnection Workbook for more information.
Questions regarding DER interconnection can be directed to Mark Antony, Energy Services Coordinator via e-mail at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., or by telephone at (507) 537-7005.
LEAD SERVICE LINE INVENTORY
Due to recent revisions to the Lead and Copper Rule, all Community Water Systems nationwide, including Marshall Municipal Utilities (MMU), are required to create a mapped inventory to prepare for the replacement of lead-based water service line materials.
